ERSEA Certification - Course Description

The ERSEA Competency Based Certification is designed to help individual's build critical competencies for identifying, selecting, and enrolling children and families eligible for Head Start services. Individuals that complete the certification process increase their skills, knowledge, and capabilities as well as commitment to ensuring access to Head Start services for qualified young children. ERSEA Certification consists of a four step, sequential training process.

  • ERSEA Level One Course - designed to assist individuals to better understand the requirements of the federal regulations.
  • ERSEA Level Two Course - designed to assist individuals to develop strategies to effectively implement the requirements of the regulations.
  • ERSEA Level Three Course - designed to assist individuals and programs to better manage ERSEA process.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive ERSEA Review and Final Exam. A comprehensive ERSEA Exam must be successfully completed to accurately assess each participant's knowledge of the regulations and their application. Following successful completion of these requirements the participant will be awarded a certificate acknowledging their accomplishments.
