HGJA training includes comprehensive training materials that participants use during the course and then take home. We make some of these materials available on their own, outside of the training events.

All of HGJA's manuals have been tested in multiple training environments to prove their relevance to real world solutions. The manuals can be used in several ways:

The manual outlines HGJA's systemic approach to producing a community assessment that is a thorough and useful tool for your program planning efforts. It supplies not only the basic requirements but also includes how to plan, construct, utilize, and evaluate your product.

Family Services: Managing the Partnership Process

This manual provides the core fundamentals to enhance your Family Services staff ability to partner with and assist families to set and achieve meaningful goals. Each chapter has questions and/or Case Studies designed to help staff to examine the process of building successful partnerships.

Fatherhood: Creative Approaches for Involving Fathers

The manual will help your program to explore several facets for creating a successful Fatherhood program. It is a tool that can be used to promote the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs designed for fathers.

This manual is designed for those programs that operate Head Start and/or Early Head Start programs. It provides a framework for developing an effective governance program that is aligned with the Performance Standards.

Forms [Available Winter 2008]

As a service to the Early Childhood, Head Start, Health Care and Human Services industries, we offer two sets of forms on compact disc. These forms organize the steps, materials, and timelines agencies need to complete Community Assessments and conduct the Eligibility (ERSEA) process to ensure the children and families with the greatest receive the much needed services.
